November 2023. With an initial investment of US$15 million, the renowned U.S. medical device company Inari Medical will start operations in Costa Rica, doing it in a first-world building at Evolution Free Zone, located in Tacares de Grecia.
Today in the morning, in a ceremony attended by the Minister of Foreign Trade, Manuel Tovar; the General Manager of the Foreign Trade Promoter of Costa Rica (PROCOMER) , Laura Lopez; senior executives of Inari Medical and CODE Development Group, the official announcement of the investment of this company in Evolution Free Zone, Costa Rica was made.
Inari Medical selected this free trade zone after a strategic review of its global manufacturing needs and capabilities, because this business park does offer state-of-the-art infrastructure, an advanced communications network, a highly skilled workforce and competitive construction and operating costs. Furthermore, it was noted that other world-renowned companies in the medical device industry have also chosen this business park to set up their operations.

In turn, Paul Koehn, Senior Vice President of Operations at Inari Medical , highlighted that “the rapid market uptake of our specially designed tools for treating patients with venous thromboembolism (VTE) and other vascular diseases led us to make the decision to build a high-volume manufacturing facility, which will help us meet this growing global demand.

Inari Medical will be installed in a building of more than 7 thousand square meters of floor space with the possibility of meeting its growth capacity on a long-term basis according to its business needs. This operation in Costa Rica will exponentially increase its production capacity and will add to the company’s existing manufacturing facilities in Irvine, California.
