September 2023. Evolution Free Zone completed the earthwork for the first phase of the project, while significant progress is being made in the construction of the internal infrastructure, as well as the accesses to interconnect the North Inter-American Highway or Route 1 with this business park.
Carlos Wong, Managing Director of CODE Development Group, explained that the construction of the Evolution Free Zone in Tacares de Grecia is progressing steadily according to the construction schedule, bringing progress and well-being to the Western Region.
We have completed an essential part of our first phase of development, such as earthwork, while working on internal works, such as traffic circles, boulevard and pipeline installation, as well as improvements to Route 1. At this stage alone, approximately 250 jobs have been generated and it is expected that by the end of the year this figure will increase to 800 construction workers,” said Wong.
In addition, it is expected to hire 600 people in the manufacturing area by 2024. It is estimated that the operation of Evolution Free Zone will provide approximately 20 thousand quality jobs over the next 15 years.
In parallel to the construction phase, Wong explained that a fundamental aspect of the sustainability strategy is to support education in the West, with the aim of generating greater opportunities for the development of the people of the region. For this purpose, Evolution Free Zone has made donations to schools in the nearby community to improve infrastructure conditions, and has cooperated with educational centers to promote the development of skills and knowledge required to meet the demand that will be created by the Free Zone.
