July 2023. Evolution Free Zone shows its commitment not only to the economic development of the western zone in Costa Rica but also to the well-being of surrounding communities and the environment. As part of our sustainability plan, we actively seek opportunities where we can contribute to the needs of Grecia.
On June 24th, the sustainability team of CODE Development Group delivered 25 soccer uniforms (jerseys, shorts, and socks), 25 individual bags to carry the uniforms, five soccer balls, and two captain armbands to the children’s soccer school in Tacares de Grecia.
We’ve never received a donation before, and these uniforms undoubtedly help us and allow us to focus on training. Our commitment is to these children who have a lot of energy and desire to play,” says Benjamin Mayorga, renowned former football player from Costa Rica and team manager.
The delivery of these items was made in the presence of the soccer school officials, the children, and their parents.
This donation not only provides them with the necessary resources to play soccer but also gives them an exciting experience and extra motivation to practice the sport. We are very excited to be part of the growth of the soccer school and we want to continue supporting them,” says Álvaro Carballo, president of CODE Development Group
Evolution Free Zone promotes education and training in the communities, as well as establishes productive relationships with local small and medium-sized businesses. We form commercial partnerships to transform them into suppliers for the companies in the free zone. This not only stimulates the growth of SMEs but also creates economic development that has a positive impact on the entire community.
We are committed to the economic growth and well-being of the surrounding communities. The recent support provided to the children’s soccer school in Tacares de Grecia is a clear example of this, but undoubtedly, we aim for much more,” concludes Carballo.
