Grecia, April 22, 2025 – The High Technology Business Park, Evolution Free Zone developed by CODE Development Group, is pleased to announce the official start of operations of the company AVNA INC. which has placed its trust in this Free Zone and in Costa Rica to expand its production capacity.
The total investment amounts to US$5.5 million, which will be used to strengthen the company’s leadership in the advanced manufacturing and medical devices segment, with the incorporation of technologies, such as laser cutting, marking and welding, plastic injection molding, precision grinding, CNC machining, automation and advanced assemblies.

The AVNA operation in Costa Rica joins two other company locations on U.S. soil for a total of 425 global employees. The company currently employs 150 people in Costa Rica, and plans to create around 200 new jobs in key areas, such as engineering, manufacturing, automation and quality control.
The new plant covers 5,900 square meters, of which 5,200 square meters are for production and 700 square meters for administrative operations. It is recognized worldwide as a global engineering and manufacturing company for the medical device industry with a reputation for producing complex components and sub-assemblies of the highest quality.
AVNA’s plant in Costa Rica has been recognized with the Award for Excellence in Innovation and Technology for its manufacture of titanium micro-implants used in oncology treatments. The company has also been recognized for its commitment to economic and social development, supporting initiatives that improve the quality of life in the communities where it operates.
