Our buildings are equipped with insulated roofs, UV-reflective window systems, and rainwater harvesting systems, that contribute to responsible resource use. The Park’s infrastructure also includes wastewater treatment facilities, achieving a 100% reuse rate for irrigation.

Efficient Resource Use and Waste Management
Additionally, at Evolution Free Zone, we have incorporated advanced waste management systems to handle the complex demands of construction and operational activities. In 2022, we managed over 109,000 cubic meters of reusable material, redistributing earth and other resources like plastic, wood, and metal to reduce landfill waste.
This waste management framework follows Costa Rica’s Integral Solid Waste Management Law (Law No. 8839) and relies on strict internal processes to ensure efficient recycling and co-processing of materials.
A Smart Park Powered by Renewable Energy
At the core of Evolution Free Zone’s sustainability strategy is our commitment to transforming into a smart, automated environment. Leveraging a sophisticated Park Management Information System, we closely monitor resource usage, from water pressure and inflow to irrigation system efficiency.
Notably, 100% of treated wastewater is reused for green space irrigation, supporting biodiversity and conserving water resources across the park.
Looking to the future, we are set to be powered by a dedicated solar farm, which will supply renewable electricity to common areas, street lighting, entrance facilities, and the water treatment plant.
