After duly meeting all requirements established by lawat a Regular Meeting held on August 26, 2020, the National Technical Environmental Secretariat (SETENA) granted the Environmental Viability License to the project developed by CODE Development Group: Evolution Free Zone.
The development group understands the importance of generating business in an environmentally sustainable way, and promoting wellbeing, transparency and good practices for the benefit of all parties.
“This is why obtaining the environmental viability license for this industrial and technology park reflects our commitment to the responsible development of the project, always striving for the minimum impact on the environment,” said Alvaro Carballo, President of CODE Development Group.
Evolution Free Zone will be located in the canton of Grecia, Alajuela, on a 124-hectare site, to be built in stages under a model that allows a balance with nature: reduction of the carbon footprint, water reuse, use of alternative energies, recycling and proper disposal of waste from production activities.
For Carballo, this declaration by SETENA represents a major step towards the construction of this innovative and sustainable Industrial Park, which will be of great benefit to the entire Western region.
